The Laboratory of Alpine Ecology (LECA), the Environments, Dynamics, and Mountain Territories Laboratory (EDYTEM), the Antoine Favre Center for Legal Research, along with the University of Lyon and the University of Limoges, are organizing an interdisciplinary conference titled“Coexistence Between Recreational Activities and Wildlife.”
This conference will take place from March 29 to 31 at the Pôle Montagne, on the Bourget-du-Lac university campus.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
This conference examines the challenges of coexistence between recreational and sporting activities and wildlife in various types of landscapes (mountainous, rural, and coastal). It is part of an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary project (HUMANI) at the intersection of sociology, geography, ecology, and natural resource management, funded by the ANR. The objective is to jointly study recreational activity participants (their behaviors, perceptions, and representations) and the consequences of human presence on wildlife.
