ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The fifty years since Dino Buzzati's death have served to establish the author's reputation, bringing him to the fore as one of the greatest figures in European fiction. The attention paid to him shows no sign of waning, with the public at the forefront of a new critical perception that emphasizes the primacy of visuality. This visual character is an aspect that Buzzati had emphasized in his artistic production in the last years of his life, with Poema a fumetti ( 1969) and I Miracoli di Val Morel (1971), alongside a more marked interest in the sacred and an intensification of his pictorial activity, in line with his interest in different artistic expressions.
