ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
On October 16, 1323, Count Amédée V, then aged 70, died in Avignon after a 38-year reign, which, along with that of Amédée VIII, was one of the longest among the princes of the House of Savoy. Seven hundred years after the count's death, this symposium aims to provide an overview of the challenges of this long reign in terms of symbolic and political power, based on current research and studies.
