The TEXTE & IMAGE 5 symposium, entitled "Les Fabriques des Histoires" (The Making of Stories) , is organized on the initiative of AXE 2 TEXTE IMAGE & ARTS NUMÉRIQUES (TEXT, IMAGE & DIGITAL ARTS ) of the Langages, Literatures, Societies, Cross-Border and International Studies (LLSETI) laboratory, under the direction of Marc Veyrat, in collaboration with the CIEREC (Jean Monnet University, University of Lyon) and PARAGRAPHE (Paris 8 University) laboratories.
It will take place on Tuesday, October 16, and Wednesday, October 17, 2018, on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus, in room 20020.
About the conference
How can we make the environment around us and the body that constitutes us visible? Perhaps through some of the many connections that compose it? But perhaps also by giving ourselves the opportunity to become aware of it? How can we experience learning and knowing how to take the right from the figure of the Other, obtaining consent to see ourselves in order to slowly learn to visualize ourselves—to learn to take our place—in this encompassing and globalized world, or simply to see it, to decipher it in order to know ourselves, while risking a little more each time to lose ourselves?+) How can we inhabit and construct a story within the story of the Other? How can fiction, networked identity, and the practices and behaviors we produce in our daily lives (avatars, self-staging, fables or legends, but also data visualization) in the age of the "I" (in an age of information simultaneously unfolded across multiple media, revolving around an overexposed "I") define us in a field of possibilities, invent us in i-REAL, that is, in a whole linked by information, constantly mixing the living and digital data?
