CANCELED – Conference on comparative politics – "History of political thought and gender studies"

March 26, 2020, 1:30 p.m. - March 26, 2020, 3:30 p.m.

The University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and the Faculty of Law are hosting the ninth cycle of "Comparative Political Life Conferences" this year, welcoming researchers in the social sciences and humanities whose work sheds light on major contemporary socio-political issues.

The sixth lecture in the series will take place on Thursday, March 26, 2020, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in Lecture Hall 3 on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus, with Margot Giacinti, a doctoral student at the Triangle-ENS Lyon Laboratory and lecturer in political science at USMB since the start of the 2019 academic year. She will speak on the topic: "History of political thought and gender studies."

About Margot Giacinti

She is currently writing a thesis entitled: Femicide: socio-historical issues of legal categorization in the French-speaking world, from the French Revolution to the present day. She has already given several presentations in France and abroad on this topic, which touches on a painful, yet common, reality in contemporary France. She will present the issues and progress of her work and, more broadly, the field of research in the history of political thought and gender studies in which she is involved.
