This month, the USMB University Libraries are focusing on climate issues. From January 16 to 27, five mini-conferences featuring scientific experts will be held at the Bourget-du-Lac University Library and are open to everyone to learn, reflect, discuss, and take action for the climate!
At the same time, three exhibitions —also on the topic of climate change—can be visited at the Annecy and Le Bourget-du-Lac university libraries.

Who better than scientific experts to provide an update on the current state of the climate? In just 30 minutes, our faculty members will share their insights with you! Join us at the Bourget-du-Lac campus library from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM to discuss the third topic in the lecture series:
“Tough Times for Glaciers” with Philip Deline, associate professor at the EDYTEM laboratory: “The rapid retreat of glaciers today is undoubtedly one of the most visible manifestations of contemporary climate change. From the Alps to Greenland, glaciers large and small are shrinking rapidly, threatening water resources, creating risks, and raising sea levels. It is therefore essential to better understand glaciers and their past, present, and future evolution.”
