This month, the USMB University Libraries are focusing on climate issues. From January 16 to 27, five mini-conferences featuring scientific experts will be held at the Bourget-du-Lac University Library and are open to everyone to learn, reflect, discuss, and take action for the climate!

At the same time, three exhibitions —also on the topic of climate change—can be visited at the Annecy and Le Bourget-du-Lac university libraries.

Who better than scientific experts to take stock of the state of the climate today? In 30 minutes flat, our teacher-researchers will share their knowledge with you! Come to your campus library at Bourget-du-Lac from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. to discuss the penultimate topic in the conference series:

“Open science and climate justice” with Philippe Lesage, Senior Lecturer in Earth Sciences at the ISTerre laboratory and the University Library's Research Support Service: "To tackle climate challenges, scientific research findings must be accessible to all. This is the goal of “open science.” But given the urgency of the situation, should scientists remain neutral, or can they engage in various forms of action for climate justice?”
