The Laboratory of Computer Science, Systems, Information Processing, and Knowledge (LISTIC) is organizing the TOTh (Terminology & Ontology) international conference on June 6 and 7 at the Polytech Annecy-Chambéry engineering school, on the Bourge-du-Lac campus.
Founded over 10 years ago, the TOTh community brings together researchers and industry professionals whose work focuses on terminology and, more broadly, on the relationship between language and knowledge. Open to all schools of thought, TOTh has become a forum for exchange and sharing where problems, solutions, and feedback—both theoretical and practical—are discussed, along with new trends and perspectives in disciplines related to terminology (translation, lexicography, knowledge engineering, information science, etc.).
TOTh is an international community comprising more than 20 different nationalities and the field’s leading figures, with French and English as its working languages. Each year, TOTh organizes a conference, a training session, and a study day. This year, the opening conference will be titled “The Emergence of Terminology Science and Terminological Activities.”
