As part of the "Entre Midi & Science"events, the Eureka Gallery invites you to come and talk with Richard TAILLET, Professor of Astrophysics at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (LAPTH) at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, on the topic "Life in the Universe: Where are the Martians?", on Thursday, November 14 at 12:30 p.m. at 150 rue de la République, Carré Curial, in Chambéry.
ABOUT
Robotic exploration of Mars has dashed all our hopes of meeting "Martians." However, the discovery since the 1990s of nearly ten thousand exoplanets, some of which may be potentially habitable, has reignited the question. Is the existence of extraterrestrial life possible? Why should Earth be the only place in the universe where life exists?
