Exhibition – "German literature in exile in France: a little-known chapter in Franco-German history"

October 2, 2017, 10:00 a.m. - October 20, 2017, 5:00 p.m.

This year, France is the guest of honor at the world's largest book fair, which takes place from October 11 to 15, 2017, in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. In 1937, 80 years ago, German emigrants who had fled Nazi Germany organized an exhibition entitled "German Literature in Paris 1837-1937" during the World's Fair in the French capital in order to represent "the other Germany."

Two lecturers and researchers from the University of Chambéry-Mont Blanc (USMB) are organizing a book exhibition at the university library on the Chambéry/Jacob-Bellecombette campus from October 2 to 20. It is accompanied by an exhibition provided by the town of Sanary-sur-Mer, the capital of German literature at that time.
