From March 8 to April 5, the "Plus d'égalité" (More Equality) Festival will take place on the campuses of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and at partner venues. The goal of the various events at this festival is to take the time to ask questions, accept confrontation, imagine solutions, and above all, reflect and debate together on issues of equality. USMB offers conferences, round tables, and meetings with artists and specialists who will question our representations of the relationship between women and men.
On Thursday, April 5, at 7:30 p.m., at the Salle du Scarabée in Chambéry, the awards ceremony for the “Shoot Sexist Discrimination” video contest will take place . The evening will consist of two parts: a dance performance featuring Pierro Giorgio Milano and students from USMB, and ascreening of the 10 winningvideos from the “Shoot Sexist Discrimination” contest, presented by LANSAD. Free admission with registration
the "Shoot Discrimination" contest
The “Shoot Discrimination” video contest aims to shed light on sexist discrimination. The invisibility of discrimination and the difficulty of speaking out against it are hallmarks of this phenomenon. Gender stereotypes stemming from gender norms, prejudices, and the stigmatization of individuals all contribute to discrimination. The challenge of the contest is to articulate, reflect on, and showcase discrimination in a video montage, with participants free to choose their means of expression—whether through speech, drawing, writing, voice, or even choreographed movement. During the 3rd edition of the contest, more than 350 students from USMB, guided by language teachers from Lansad, social psychology instructors from various departments, and dance instructors from the STAPS department, participated, resulting in a total of 60 videos produced.
