Hackathon dedicated to leveraging financial data in the local public sector

November 28, 2019, 9:00 a.m. - November 29, 2019, 5:00 p.m.

On November 28 and 29, 2019, a hackathon dedicated to the use of financial data in the local public sector will be held on the Bourget-du-Lac campus, organized by the University of Savoie Mont Blanc, the Savoie Departmental Directorate of Public Finance, and the Haute-Savoie Departmental Directorate of Public Finance.

The hackathon

As part of the Digital Republic Act, the economic and financial ministries are currently making 367 data sets available to the public. However, although this data is available, it remains difficult to access. The hackathon will bring together academics, students, local elected officials, and state and local government officials to tackle "challenges" designed to make the most of the public financial information available to serve local communities.

On the agenda (provisional):

  • November 28: Hackathon begins, challenges revealed, teamwork begins.
  • November 29: teamwork, presentation of work at the end of the day.
