- Closing lecture by Thomas Gauthier, professor at EMLyon – 5:20 p.m.: Whether we are optimistic or pessimistic, the complexity of our circumstances makes it all too tempting to approach the future with trepidation. For the writer Paul Valéry, uncertainty drives us to look to the past for the keys to understanding the world, making decisions, and taking action . Yet this approach reaches its limits in a world undergoing transformations of unprecedented scale and speed. The question of the sustainability of political, social, and economic models—conceived at the dawn of the First Industrial Revolution—is now facing all organizations.”
