The National Solar Energy Days are being organized from June 27 to 28, 2018, in Lyon by the Solar Energy Research Federation: FédESol (FR CNRS 3344). The University of Savoie Mont Blanc and its Foundation are partners in this event.
This will be an opportunity to discuss scientific issues, technological challenges, and economic models in various fields such as: knowledge of solar resources and optimization of collection, materials and components for energy conversion and storage (in its thermal, electrochemical, or electrical forms), distributed or centralized production and storage through grid connection and/or conversion to other energy carriers, photoprocesses, concentration and solar thermodynamics, solar buildings and cities, etc.
This conference is aimed at doctoral students, researchers, engineers, business leaders, competitiveness cluster managers, local authorities, and others, to discuss a forward-looking and proactive vision for the development of the renewable energy sector, with a focus on solar energy.
The two days will provide an opportunity to present the state of the art in academic research and technological developments in these different fields, to stimulate debate, to create connections, and to foster projects between stakeholders.
About FédESol
This federation is structured into five main sections and brings together the national laboratories:
- Concentrated solar power and thermodynamics
- Thermal storage
- Photographic processes
