Launch of the national Green Chemistry Academy project

This ambitious program aims to revolutionize academics in green chemistry, by meeting the major challenges of decarbonization, thecircular economy andsustainable innovation in the chemical industry and all its related application sectors.

Project funded by France 2030 as part of the Compétences et Métiers d'Avenir (CMA) program to the tune of 3.5 million euros over 5 years, withuniversité Savoie Mont Blanc as lead partner.

Program

  • 1:30 pm: Welcome of participants
  • 14h00 : Launch of the Green Chemistry Academy
    •  Introduction by University President Philippe GALEZ
    •  Presentation of the logo and visual identity, as well as the objectives, planned actions and composition of the consortium.
    • Testimonies and contributions from key players at three thematic round tables on "attracting", "training" and "supporting".
  • 3:30 pm: Time for convivial exchanges - possibility of an interview

An event not to be missed

  • A unique project in France, bringing together 5 universities, competitiveness clusters, trade and skills campuses, companies and institutional partners to transform the future of chemistry.
  • Strategic challenges: attracting more students to the green chemistry sector, providing training in innovations in bioeconomy, clean processes, waste recovery and eco-compatible materials, etc.
  • A rhythmic program to discover the project:
    • A representative from the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research will be on hand to support this major project.
    • In the presence of Mr. Éric SANDRAZ, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regional councillor, who will announce regional co-financing of €110,000.
    • Announcement of the launch of a collaboration with YouTubeur @Blablareauaulabo (60,000 subscribers) to raise young people's awareness of green chemistry
    • Announcement of the writing of a reference book on green chemistry, in partnership with DUNOD.

And a few surprises in front of an audience of companies, students, researchers, teachers and institutions from Savoie and the wider Rhône-Alpes region.
