Launch of the national Green Chemistry Academy project

This ambitious program aims to revolutionize training in green chemistry by addressing the major challenges of decarbonization,the circular economy, andsustainable innovationin the chemical industry and all related sectors of application.

Project funded by France 2030 as part of the Skills and Jobs of the Future (CMA) program, with €3.5 million over five years, led by the University of Savoie Mont Blanc.

Program

  • 1:30 p.m.: Welcome receptionfor participants
  • 2:00 p.m.: Launch of the Green Chemistry Academy
    •  Introduction by University President Philippe GALEZ
    •  Presentation of the logo and visual identity, as well as the objectives, planned actions, and composition of the consortium
    • Testimonials and contributions from key players during three themed roundtable discussions on "attracting," "training," and "supporting"
  • 3:30 p.m.:Informal discussion time – opportunity for interviews

An unmissable event

  • A unique project in France:bringing together five universities, competitiveness clusters, vocational and skills campuses, businesses, and institutional partners to transform the future of chemistry.
  • Strategic challenges: attractingmore students to green chemistry programs, providing training on innovations in the bioeconomy, clean processes, waste recovery, eco-compatible materials, etc.
  • A packed program to discover the project:
    • With the participation of a representative from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research to support this large-scale project.
    • In the presence of Mr. Éric SANDRAZ, regional councilor for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, who will announce regional co-financing of €110,000.
    • Announcement of a collaboration with YouTuber @Blablareauaulabo (60,000 subscribers) to raise awareness among young people about green chemistry
    • Announcement of the writing of a reference book on green chemistry, in partnership with DUNOD publishers.

And a few surprises under the watchful eye of an audience made up of businesses, students, researchers, teachers, and institutions from Savoie and, more broadly, the Rhône-Alpes region.
