First AQUATHON: "What future for Lake Geneva?"

December 12, 2019, 6:30 p.m.

The Alpine Research Center on Trophic Networks in Limnic Ecosystems (CARRTEL, INRA – University of Savoie Mont Blanc), in partnership with the Lycée de la Versoie, is organizing the first “Aquathon” on the future of Lake Geneva on December 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Espace des Ursules in Thonon-les-Bains.

At this evening discussion, co-hosted by scientists and students from Lycée de la Versoie, citizens of all ages are invited to help identify the key priorities for a sustainable future for Lake Geneva.

Topics for discussion suggested by high school students: Pollution (waste, phosphorus, etc.), biodiversity, climate change, resource use (transportation, drinking water, fishing), etc.

Save the date and come join the discussion!

(Aquathon is a portmanteau combining "aquatic," "hacker," "marathon," and "Thonon")
