The 2026 immersions

Discover the university from the inside to make a better choice about your future studies

As part of its mission to provide guidance and support, Université Savoie Mont Blanc offers high school students the Immersions program, a unique opportunity to discover higher education in a practical way.

Held from February 9 to 13, 2026, during winter break, Immersions allow participants to immerse themselves in the reality of university studies by attending real classes and discovering life on university campuses.

A program to help students pursue university studies

Immersions are aimed at students in their junior, senior, and final years of high school who wish to begin or further their thinking about their career path after graduation.

The objectives of this measure are to:

• better understand how the university works;

• discover the content and teaching methods;

• to immerse oneself in an environment of study and student life.

Attend university classes

Each participant can select one or two open courses from among the courses offered by the University of Savoie Mont Blanc.

High school students attend classes under the same conditions as university students, which allows them to:

• understand the demands and pace of university studies;

• to better understand the subject matter;

• identify the training courses that best match their expectations and plans.

Immersions cover a wide range of training areas, spread across all of the university's campuses.

Additional activities to discover student life

In addition to classes, extracurricular activities are offered to help students explore the university environment more broadly.

Supervised by student tutors, these activities enable participants to:

• visit the campuses;

• discuss academic paths, the organization of studies, and student life;

• share lunch on campus with a student mentor.

Registrations

Registration is individual and mandatory.

Priority given to students in their junior year.
Students in their sophomore and senior years may register starting January 26, subject to availability.
