About Physics Night

The " Night of Physics " is a public event organized by the French Physics Society, with the support of the CNRS, the CEA, the French Optics Society, and the French Chemical Society. It follows on from the Night of Light in 2015, the Night of Gravitational Waves in 2017, the Night of Antimatter in 2019, and the Night of Time in 2021 and 2022.

As part of the "Year of Physics" and in light of France hosting the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the French Physics Society, the CNRS, and the CEA are once again launching this initiative, which involves engaging schoolchildren through competitions on the theme of physics and sport, as well as a large-scale festive evening event held at multiple locations. This will take place on April 2, 2024, in the cities of Annecy, Belfort, Bordeaux, Bourges, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Dunkirk, Grenoble, Limoges, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Paris, Rennes, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Toulon, and Orleans.

About LAPP Wednesdays
