Lunch Seminar – "Tourism economy in mountain regions: what if we thought about transition?"

October 13, 2017 12:00 p.m. - October 13, 2017, 1:30 p.m.

As part of the FEAST – Interreg Alcotra project, a lunchtime seminar on the theme of "Tourism economics in mountain regions: what if we thought about transition?" will be held onFriday, October 13, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus, in room 24-102.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT THE LUNCH SEMINAR

Historically, the mountain tourism economy has been driven by snow and winter sports. With the impacts of climate change and new visitor expectations, do we need to rethink the entire system? Are there solutions in the discussions around so-called sustainable tourism? Do we need to rethink the entire governance of mountain resorts?

This first lunch seminar will be led by Guillaume Cromer, director of the firm ID-Tourism and President of the Acteurs du Tourisme Durable network, which specializes in forward-looking issues, marketing, and innovation in tourism.

A picnic lunch will be provided to participants so that they can eat while attending the seminar.
