FEAST Lunch Seminar – Transition in the mountains: what role for tourism?

January 23, 2020, 5:30 p.m. - January 23, 2020, 7:30 p.m.

The University of Savoie Mont Blanc, in partnership with ID-Tourism, a firm specializing in tourism forecasting, is organizing a seminar on "Mountain Transition: What Role for Tourism?" as part of the FEAST – Interreg Alcotra project. It will take place on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. in room 20 020 on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus.

About the Lunch Seminar

Digital revolution, climate emergency, societal changes in consumer behavior, new forms of political governance... mountain regions are undergoing a major transition. In these times of change, what role does tourism play today? What role should tourism play tomorrow in these regions? The University of Savoie Mont Blanc, through the European FEAST program in which it participates with the University of Aosta Valley (Italy), invites you to come and discuss and debate the contours of this transition and the positioning of tourism in the future, with private and public professionals in mountain tourism.

The discussions will be followed by a social gathering.
