For its5th online seminar, the USMB’s Alcotra FEAST project welcomes Sarah XUEREB, cycling and outdoor activities development officer at Agate-territoire, to speak to us about cycling tourism. The FEAST virtual lunch seminar—“Cycling Tourism”—will take place on Tuesday, June 9 at 1:30 p.m. online, on the TEAMS platform.
ABOUT THELUNCH SEMINAR
Given the current situation we are facing, cycling is being promoted more than ever as a healthy, safe, and enjoyable mode of transportation. All types of cycling are gaining popularity, from commuting to work to multi-day touring trips, as well as half-day recreational rides.
But who exactly are the tourism and leisure customers, and what are their specific needs? After presenting key statistics on bicycle tourism, we will examine Savoie’s cycling tourism offerings and the implementation of training programs for local stakeholders to provide specialized services… for cyclists.
Registration is free but mandatory, as the number of participants is limited: [register]
On the day of the seminar, you will receive a link to connect and participate, with your camera and microphone turned off.
We recommend downloading the Microsoft TEAMS application or opening the link in Google Chrome. You will be able to ask questions in writing, which our moderators will read directly to the speaker.
