On Thursday, April 12, 2018, six researchers from the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) will take on a challenge: to present the results of their research and its applications in the professional world in just 10 minutes! Join us at 6 p.m. at the Chambre Syndicale de la Métallurgie in Annecy for a preview of the technologies that will become part of your everyday life. The goal is to inform regional manufacturers about the excellence of the thesis work carried out at USMB and its industrial relevance in the fields of energy, management, law, mechatronics, robotics, deep learning, occupational health, the circular economy, etc., and to enable USMB doctoral students to give their work greater visibility.
The presentations will be followed by a question and answer session with the audience, and the evening will conclude with a networking reception, providing an opportunity to discuss the issues in greater detail with the manufacturers concerned.
on the program
The six presentations will be as diverse as they are varied:
- What is the best innovation strategy when using crowdsourcing?
- How can the haptic sensory quality control of a product be formalized?
- How can tool performance be optimized by increasing heating and cooling speeds using the innovative Heat & Cool concept?
- How does innovation minimize complications in a new implant used to treat humerus fractures?
- How can the vibrational energy of a system be recovered and converted into electrical energy?
- How can we draw inspiration from the flight of maple seeds to design centimeter-sized wind turbines?
