As part of the LAPP and LAPTh Wednesdays, the Annecy Laboratory of Particle Physics (LAPP) and the Annecy Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (LAPTh) are organizing workshops for children entitled "Ateliers Ephémères (Experiences de PHysiquE aMusantEs pouR les EnfantS)" (Ephemeral Workshops: Fun Physics Experiments for Children). These workshops will take place on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the LAPP premises on the Annecy campus.
About the workshops
Between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., children will discover fundamental scientific concepts through fun and visually stunning experiments! From electricity to light, vacuum to density, your children will intuitively understand these phenomena while having fun. Several 25-minute workshops will be offered, for a total duration of one and a half hours.
These free workshops are reserved for children aged 4 to 12. Due to limited space, registration is required.
Once you have registered and your registration has been confirmed, please come to LAPP at 4:45 p.m. (15 minutes before the workshops begin). If you are unable to attend, please contact LAPP so that your place can be given to someone else. During the workshops, parents will have the opportunity to talk to scientists from LAPP and LAPTh and visit the EUTOPIA Discovery Center.
About LAPP and LAPTh Wednesdays
One Wednesday per month, scientists from LAPP and LAPTh invite you to discover a different facet of research during a free event open to all. Lectures, tours, discussions, workshops... Several formats accessible to all audiences will be offered throughout the year.
