On March 28 and 30, 2018 at 8pm, USMB's Perspectives Théâtrales invite you to discover or rediscover the opera " Traviata - Vous méritez un avenir meilleur " at the Théâtre Charles Dullin in Chambéry.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Based on La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi
Traviata is a musical and phantasmagorical feast of theater and opera, spoken and sung voices, literary fragments and archival documents. It is also an investigation into the courtesan who, after inspiring Dumas fils to write his novel "La Dame aux camélias", which he later adapted for the stage, became Violetta, the heroine of one of Verdi's most famous operas. We meet her again, more mysterious and touching than ever, in this production directed by Benjamin Lazar, in which her role is played by the dazzling soprano Judith Chemla. Far removed from the pomp and circumstance of Romantic opera, Traviata maintains a delightfully close relationship with the audience.
Concept: Benjamin Lazar, Florent Hubert and Judith Chemla
Stage direction: Benjamin Lazar
Musical arrangements and direction: Florent Hubert and Paul Escobar
ABOUT JACES 2018 AT USMB
The Journées des Arts et de la Culture dans l'Enseignement Supérieur (Days of Arts and Culture in Higher Education) showcase the cultural and artistic activities carried out at theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB), and are intended to become an exceptional opportunity for members of the university community on the three campuses to meet and share ideas, as well as creating links between the USMB campuses, the Grenoble Alpes campus and the general public. The rich and dense program of the 4th edition is proof of the artistic potential of USMB students. These days are a real opportunity to showcase the diversity and quality of the artistic productions offered by the USMB's disciplinary courses and student associations. The Culture mission, in charge of organizing this event, would like to extend its warmest thanks to the student cultural associations for their dynamism and commitment, to all the students involved, to the colleagues in charge of the disciplinary projects, to the artists and local partners who will be accompanying us, to the MMI and GACO departments of the Chambéry IUT, the Annecy IUT and the GUIDE for their organizational support.
THEATRICAL PERSPECTIVES
Set up in October 2000 as part of a cultural partnership between the USMB and the Espace Malraux Scène nationale, Perspectives Théâtrales creates a bridge between university reading of dramatic works and the practice of theater. More concretely, the aim is to encourage students to reflect on theatrical texts from their specific destination: the stage.
