The Chambéry Spanish and Latin American Film Festival is celebrating its 25th edition from March 14 to 27, 2018. This anniversary also marks 25 years of partnership between the Spanish section of the Bachelor’s program in Foreign and Regional Languages, Literatures, and Civilizations (LLCER) at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and the Astrée and Forum cinemas in Chambéry and Les Hauts-de-Chambéry. All students, as well as faculty members from the LLCER Spanish and English-Spanish bilingual bachelor’s programs, are participating in the festival as part of the educational projects of the USMB’s Faculty of Letters, Languages, and Humanities (LLSH).
On Saturday, March 17, at 8:00 p.m., at the Astrée cinema, Florence Serrano, a Spanish instructor in the LLCER program and a researcher at the USMB’s Langages, Literature, Societies, Cross-Border and International Studies (LLSETI) at the USMB, will give a lecture titled “The Basque Country Yesterday and Today: Between Diversity and Continuity,” prior to the screening of the film “Amana.”
