It will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Building 23 on the Jacob-Bellecombette campus.
The event has been postponed to a later date, which will be communicated to you as soon as possible.
About the Lunch Seminar
What role does historical heritage play in a tourist destination focused on sports and recreational activities?
As ski resorts seek to diversify their tourism offerings, can historical heritage serve as a key component of this diversification alongside natural heritage? How can historical heritage be promoted to the specific audience of skiers, particularly during the winter season? What adjustments are needed between summer and winter? What roles do tourist offices play in promoting local historical heritage, particularly in ski resorts? What have been the consequences of the Notre Law regarding the promotion of historical heritage? What are the impacts of the “Land of Art and History” label on tourism development in Savoie?
Come discuss these issues with:
- Monique Dacquin, president ofthe Savoie Mont-Blanc Heritage Guides Association;
- Bertille Favre, project manager for the “Land of Art and History” designation, and a member of the cultural department of the Chamonix Mont-Blanc Valley Community of Municipalities and the Mont-Blanc Region Community of Municipalities;
- Sandrine Perez, from the FACIM Foundation, who will present the “Land of Art and History” designation for the Upper Savoie Valleys, which encompasses the Maurienne, Tarentaise, Beaufortain, and Val d’Arly valleys;
- Corinne Raïh, project manager at Savoie Mont-Blanc Tourisme.
