Accommodations play a key role in the mountain tourism sector. Like the sector itself, they are evolving in response to new tourism trends. To address these new challenges, the University of Savoie Mont Blanc and its partners are organizing a roundtable discussion with four Franco-Italian experts on Monday, April 23, 2018, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, on the Chambéry/Jacob-Bellecombette campus.
Emilio Conte, Director of the Association of Hoteliers of the Aosta Valley; Camillo Rosset, Vice President of the Association of Hoteliers of the Aosta Valley; Jean-Pierre Jorcin, President of the Fédération Autonome Générale de l’Industrie Hôtelière Touristique, and Marie Dupraz, Head of Development and Quality at Gîtes de France Savoie, will discuss three key issues:
- How are customer expectations regarding mountain accommodations changing? How can we address these changes?
- Diversifying the "accommodation" offering: challenges and opportunities?
- How important is accommodation to a destination’s appeal?
The roundtable discussion will take place in Building 24, at the IAE Savoie Mont Blanc campus, in Room 24203. A packed lunch will be provided to students attending the seminar. Free event; registration required.
