On Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 6:30 p.m., the Science-Actions association invites you to discuss the contribution of neuroscience in schools. The Science Café "Neuroscience in Schools" will be held via videoconference (instructions).
Neuroscience in schools
This science café will examine the place of cognitive science and advances in brain research in schools. It will also question teaching practices, the development or rediscovery of so-called "personalized" methods, and their levels of evidence. But between myths, hopes, and reality, what is the place of this "neuro-education" in understanding student success and in the practice of teachers? And in this context, what role can social and cultural determinants play in the development and success of learners?
Come and discuss this topic with experts in the field:
- Arnaud Carré, moderator of the café debate, professor and researcher in psychology, Inter-University Psychology Laboratory ( LIP/PC2S – USMB/UGA)
- Anne Chaix, retired schoolteacher and educational activist
- Jean-Pierre Chevrot, professor and researcher in sociolinguistics at the Laboratory of Linguistics and Didactics of Foreign and Native Languages (LIDILEM – UGA)
- Jérôme Clerc, professor and researcher in cognitive psychology at the Laboratory of Psychology and NeuroCognition (LPNC, CNRS/UGA/USMB), and deputy director ofINSPE Grenoble in charge of research
- Annique Smeding, lecturer and researcher in social psychology, specializing in social psychology issues in education, Inter-University Psychology Laboratory (LIP/PC2S – USMB/UGA)
