A webinar organized by the University of La Rochelle for the teaching community. The goal is to share observations and pedagogical insights regarding the implementation of online/distance assessments: advantages, challenges, limitations, solutions, and opportunities to explore. Whether itinvolves diagnostic, formative, orsummative assessment, teachers and faculty members will discuss their pedagogical organization, the digital tools, and the pedagogical principles at work in this complex process, which is essential to student success. This event is part of the workon thedeliverable“Data Security and Online Assessments with or without In-Person Supervision”from theHYbrider et Partager les Enseignements project HYPE-13.
In 2015, when Philippe Meirieu wrote in the preface to Charles Hadji’s book*Assessment in Schools*that “no topic is more controversial than assessment,” he had not takenonline or remote assessment into account. In these assessments, the technical dimension is added to the regulatory, organizational, and pedagogical dimensions present in any assessment process, introducing an additional level of complexity to considerations of fairness, accuracy, equity, validity, and reliability of results.
