Scholarships based on social criteria

Once your registration is complete, you will be eligible for scholarships based on social criteria. Visit the dedicated platform for personalized assistance, or call us directly at 09.63.39.19.19. As scholarships depend on your social profile, you'll be told which type of scholarship you can apply for, and how to access the Crous residence. These grants come in a variety of forms, for housing, transport or assistance with everyday life, such as taking your driving test with ornikar to learn the code for free. Please note that the DSE must be submitted at the beginning of the year to ensure that your application is complete.

Student social file - Crous

Your student social file opens on January 15 and closes on May 15. This file is to be completed jointly for Crous grant applications and/or Crous housing application. For the latter, you should know that moving into Crous accommodation does not exempt you from the usual formalities, such as taking out housing insurance. When you register with the DSE, we recommend that you also enquire about accommodation in the traditional circuit, bearing in mind that places in Crous residences are limited. Please note that all accommodation provided by Crous has internet access. If you are offered accommodation outside a Crous residence, you will be responsible for installing and subscribing to an internet line. To help you with this process, you can go directly to the monpetitforfait.

Help with financing your driver's license

Financing your driving license is often a challenge, but in France there are several ways to help.

  • 1 a day licence

This assistance is specially designed for young people aged 15 to 25 enrolled in a driving school that is a partner in this financial scheme. The scheme allows you to spread the cost of your driving license academics by paying just one euro a day, at no extra cost. To apply, all you need to do is fill in a form including a request for assistance, a copy of a valid identity card and a recent quote from the chosen driving school.

  • Pôle emploi assistance

Pôle emploi also offers assistance in financing the cost of a driving license, especially if the lack of one is a barrier to employment. Applications are usually made through the Pôle emploi advisor, who assesses the appropriateness of the assistance on a case-by-case basis.

  • Specific assistance

Disabled people can also receive special support to finance their driving license, to facilitate their independence and professional integration. This can be done by applying to specialized organizations or directly through your personal advisor. These multiple possibilities, adapted to different profiles, help reduce the financial obstacles associated with obtaining a driving license, thus promoting greater freedom and professional opportunities for everyone. Other assistance is available to help finance a driving license, specifically for reservists in the French National Guard, adult apprentices and people with a CPF (Compte Personnel de academics) account. Once you've obtained your driving license, you can get help to purchase a clean vehicle, such as a BYD electric vehicle, like the bonus écologique, which can save you up to €7,000.
