ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The building sector is responsible for 17% of greenhouse gas emissions and accounts for almost half of France's energy expenditures. With approximately 4.8 million homes considered to be "thermal flats" and faced with the climate emergency, the State is accelerating its measures to fight against these very energy-intensive homes. Energy renovation plays a central role in the fight against climate change, but it also helps to provide the most vulnerable households with decent housing, to fight against fuel poverty while promoting social justice and to create jobs. To achieve the objectives that France has set for itself, numerous measures have been put in place, including new energy regulations and financial assistance for the most vulnerable households. Faced with soaring energy prices, what consequences can all these measures have on the various spheres of the economy and society?
