ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Cycling performance is multifactorial. It encompasses muscular, energetic and psychological qualities, as well as technical mastery (movement strategy, equipment used).
Equipment plays an important and growing role in sports performance, as it benefits from scientific advances in fields as varied as materials science, simulation and biomechanics. But is it so important that it outweighs the influence of the rider's physical qualities on performance? To the point of endangering the cyclist?
In short, is it the bike that makes the performance or the rider?
