The University of Savoie Mont Blanc andthe University of Pau and Pays de l’Adour are jointly organizing an international conference on the connections between crime fiction and journalism, which will take place at both campuses from October 1 to 4, 2019.
On the agenda
- Tuesday, October 1, and Wednesday, October 2: A public event featuring French novelist Dominique Manotti will take place at the President’s Office on Rue Marcoz in Chambéry, followed by a day of academic presentations on the Jacob Bellecombette campus (Room 20020) exploring the relationship between crime fiction and real-life crime stories.
- Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4: The University of Pau and the Pays de l’Adour is pleased to welcome Cuban author Leonardo Padura to its campus, where he will give talks and lead discussions on the role of the journalist in crime fiction. This collaboration will result in the publication of a collection of proceedings by the USMB Press in 2020.
