Theuniversité Savoie Mont Blanc and theuniversité de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour are jointly organizing an international symposium on the links between the noir novel and journalism, to be held at both sites between October 1 and 4, 2019.
The program
- Tuesday, October 1 and Wednesday, October 2: a meeting with French novelist Dominique Manotti, open to the general public, will take place in the Presidency buildings on rue Marcoz in Chambéry, followed by a day of scientific communications on the Jacob Bellecombette campus (room 20020), focusing on the relationship between detective fiction and the news.
- Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4:université de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour will be delighted to welcome Cuban author Leonardo Padura to its campus, for talks and conferences on the figure of the journalist in the noir novel. In 2020, this collaboration will result in the publication of a volume of proceedings by USMB Press.
