Meeting with novelist Dominique Manotti

october 1, 2019 6:00 PM - october 1, 2019 20:00

Theuniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and its Langages, Littératures, Sociétés, Études Transfrontalières et Internationales (LLSETI) laboratory will be delighted to welcome Dominique Manotti, author of Racket, Or noir and Le rêve de Madoff, one of the biggest names in French crime fiction, to the premises of the USMB presidency on rue Marcoz in Chambéry on Tuesday October 1, from 6pm to 8pm.

His novels, often inspired by well-documented true events, deal directly with ultra-contemporary economic and social issues. Carried along by an efficient, nervous style of writing, they use fiction to reveal the unsavory mechanisms that govern our societies.

The meeting will focus in particular on the link between noir novels and news stories, and will be moderated by Dominique Lagorgette, a teacher-researcher at USMB.

It will take place as part of the "Roman noir et journalisme" conference, organized jointly byuniversité Savoie Mont Blanc anduniversité de Pau et des Pays de l’Adour .
