This year,université Savoie Mont Blanc and the Faculty of Law atuniversité Savoie Mont Blanc are hosting the tenth series of Conférences de Vie Politique Comparée (Comparative Political Life Lectures), featuring researchers in the social sciences and humanities whose work sheds light on major contemporary socio-political issues. These lectures are organized using the Zoom online tool and are open to the general public without registration.
For the third lecture in this series, Carole Reynaud-Paligot, lecturer and researcher at theUniversity of Burgundy and theUniversity of Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris 1, will host a lecture on the history of education in the colonial context on Thursday March 11 from 3:45pm to 5:30pm.

about the speaker
Carole Reynaud-Paligot, PhD, is a professor at theUniversity of Burgundy and a research associate at the Centre de recherche en histoire du XIXe siècle at theUniversity of Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris 1. She has published numerous articles and books on the comparative history of racial thought and its emergence in the 19th century, as well as its consequences up to the present day. Her latest book, on which she will be speaking, has just been published in January 2021 and deals with the history of education in the colonial context.
