To mark National Hearing Day, the USMB Preventive Medicine Service and the Gaco Crescendo association invite you to join them on Tuesday March 6 at the EVE building from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a concert on the Bourget-du-Lac campus, accompanied by an information stand on hearing prevention.
The results of the latest studies on hearing (WHO, Institut Ipsos) point to premature aging of young people's ears, with 1 in 2 young people suffering from tinnitus, hence the theme of JNA2018: "Tinnitus and hyperacusis: scourges of the 21st century". It is possible to counter these worrying forecasts and preserve our hearing pleasure by:
- to control the sound level of your music player, Hi-Fi system and car radio
- reducing exposure time
- wearing highly effective, invisibleprotective caps
- away from loudspeakers
Preserve your hearing by adopting the correct behaviour in the event of a rise in the hearing threshold, the perception of sounds in the absence of a sound source (tinnitus: 1 in 4 French people, 56% of whom are aged 16-34) or the perception of sounds at a higher level than normal (hyperacusis)", by consulting your doctor as soon as possible.
