The National Reservist Days (JNR) will take place
- Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 10am to 3:30pm on the Bourget du Lac campus
- Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 10am to 3:30pm on the Annecy campus
On the program: events, demonstrations and stands where you can meet representatives of the armed forces (land, air, navy), the gendarmerie, the national police force and the fire department.
WHAT IS THE RESERVE?
Created in 2016, the National Guard now includes almost 77,000 reservists who are committed to missions to protect the French people.
You can join the National Guard as a reservist, whatever your background, level of education or diploma.
Missions are highly varied: depending on the profession you sign up for, you may be called upon to welcome the public, help with administrative tasks, patrol, control, secure sites, provide prevention services or provide information to the public.
An initial academics is given to all those wishing to join the National Guard. This academics is common to all reservists, regardless of the structure you join.
academics lasts around two weeks, and provides an initial introduction to military life, including first aid, close operational intervention techniques (TIOR), weapons handling and shooting.
On average, reservists carry out missions and are available for duty some 30 days a year. Reservists are remunerated (tax-free) according to their rank.
As far as the Departmental Fire and Rescue Services are concerned, volunteer firefighters account for 78% of all firefighters in France.
They can carry out operational activities in one or more of the following fields: emergency care and rescue, fire-fighting, or protection of people, property and the environment.
Like National Guard reservists, you will receive training throughout your career, so that you can be deployed on a wide range of operations.
