The Laboratoire d'Annecy de Physique des Particules (LAPP ) is organizing a conference entitled "Que la force soit avec les bosons!" to be held on January 17, 2024 from 6 to 7 pm at the LAPP premises on the Annecy campus. Prior to the lecture, you will be able to visit the laboratory from 5pm for privileged discussions with the scientists.
About the conference-debate
How do bosons weave the forces around us?
When we look at matter on a subatomic scale, we discover a whole zoology of particles, which have been studied since the 20th century by physicists the world over. Among them are bosons, the mediators of forces. But what exactly is a force? What part do bosons play in this symphony? What are their properties? Why is it so important to study them? Let's answer all these questions together. A lecture by Narei Lorenzo Martinez, physicist at LAPP.
