It will also take place on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in Chambéry.

About the conference
By its very nature, animal life produces waste; organic waste is intrinsically linked to life. From the dawn of urbanization, alongside water, food, and energy supply, waste disposal has been one of the fundamental challenges facing an increasingly densely populated human population. The use of animal waste as organic fertilizer dates back to the emergence of agriculture. Selective collection of recyclable materials only serves to proportionally increase the volume of organic waste in the remainder. Anaerobic digestion is expanding and contributes to energy self-sufficiency. At the local or individual level, composting not only provides organic fertilizer but also fosters social connections. If the selective collection of organic waste continues to grow, what will be left to incinerate? A historical, geographical, and geopolitical overview of how we treat our organic waste!
