From March 5 to May 18, the "Plus d'égalité" (More Equality) Festival will take place on the campuses of the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and at partner venues. The goal of the various events at this festival is to take the time to ask questions, accept confrontation, imagine solutions, and above all, reflect and debate together on issues of equality. USMB offers conferences, round tables, and meetings with artists and specialists who will question our representations of the relationship between women and men.
On Friday, May 10, 2019, at 10 a.m., in the Decottignies Auditorium at the USMB administration building in Chambéry, there will be ameeting between Annie Ernaux, a French author who focuses primarily on autobiographical material, and USMB literature students.
USMB President Denis Varaschin will welcome Annie Ernaux alongside Patrick Longuet, a professor of contemporary literature in the Department of Literature atthe UFR LLSH. A dialogue between two generations of women: third-year undergraduate students in the Department of Literature have carefully read Annie Ernaux’s books. They will share the literary and personal questions these books may raise in relation to their own lives.
