The 30th edition of the Chambéry Spanish and Latin American Film Festival will take place from March 13 to 26, 2024, at the Astrée cinema. The festival will feature 25 films and documentaries, including 8 preview screenings and 7 guest appearances.
The renewed aim of this event is to offer audiences a recent overview of cinema from Spain and the Americas, while also highlighting classic films. This year, the focus is on Argentina, represented by nine films—a diverse selection designed to showcase the variety and vitality of its talent.
Savoie Mont Blanc University is participating with valuable insights from its speakers, who will introduce two films:
- The film“La caza (The Hunt),” airing on Saturday, March 23, at 5 p.m., will be introduced by Pierre-Laurent Savouret, Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies at the Laboratory for Languages, Literatures, Societies, and Transborder and International Studies (LLSETI)
- The film*La dignidad de los nadies (The Dignity of the People)*, which will be screened on Monday, March 25, at 6:15 p.m., will be introduced by Martin Lombardo, associate professor at the Laboratory of Languages, Literatures, Societies, and Transborder and International Studies (LLSETI)
