Thesis summary
Most new businesses fail to stay in business beyond the first few years after their launch. Several prominent figures in the field of entrepreneurship suggest that these failures are largely due to the fact that entrepreneurial projects are ill-suited to the realities of the business environment. In this thesis, we examine entrepreneurs’ initial efforts to interact with certain stakeholders (potential customers, investors) in their environment and develop their entrepreneurial project. These initial efforts will, in part, promote the development and survival of the entrepreneurial project. At the same time, information overload during these interactions may, conversely, slow down its development and undermine entrepreneurs’ growth ambitions.
