Are you a student or prospective student with a disability?
Good news: in higher education, the implementation of study and exam accommodations has been simplified.
The Support Unit for Students with Disabilities (C2AESH) is dedicated to providing individualized support to all students with special needs in their educational journey and student life.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR STUDY AND EXAM ACCOMMODATIONS?
All disability situations can be considered.
*Reminders
A disability, as defined by the 2005 law, is any limitation of activity or restriction of participation in society experienced by a person in their environment due to a substantial, lasting, or permanent impairment of one or more physical, sensory, mental, cognitive, or psychological functions, a multiple disability, or a disabling health condition.
The C2AESH can assist you in implementing temporary accommodations for a maximum period of one month if the request is made at least three weeks in advance in the context of exam accommodations.
WHAT STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN TO BENEFIT FROM ACCOMMODATIONS?
Before enrolling at USMB
Firstly, when submitting your preferences on the ParcourSup application during your final year of high school or during your university studies, we invite you to contact the C2AESH, which will guide you through the process according to your needs and can offer you a tour of the campus (Annecy-le-Vieux, Bourget-du-Lac, or Jacob-Bellecombette).
As soon as you enroll at USMB
Then, once you have completed the administrative registration process with the campus registrar's office (payment of university fees and issuance of your student card), you can, if you wish, register with the Student Health Service or the Welcome and Support Unit for Students with Disabilities.
PLEASE NOTE: deadlines have been set to allow for exam accommodations to be organized. You must therefore have seen the SSE doctor (date of appointment serves as proof):
Around mid-November for the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year
Around mid-March for the second semester of the 2025-2026 academic year (Deadlines have not yet been set)
Student Health Service – Contact details for SSE offices
You will be interviewed by an SSE doctor who, after reviewing your medical file, will assess your needs and draw up a plan of recommendations for adjustments to your studies and exams. These adjustments may facilitate your studies at the university.
PLEASE NOTE: If you require study and/or exam accommodations, you must obtain a medical assessment from an SSE physician.
For information: SSE doctors are accredited by the Commission for the Rights and Autonomy of People with Disabilities (CDAPH) of the Departmental House for People with Disabilities (MDPH).
C2AESH – contact by email (preferred) or by phone at +33 (0)4 79 75 91 56
