OnThursday October 8, 2020, the Science-Actions association invites you to discuss the popularization of science. The Café science " Sciences et grand public: comment accéder aux connaissances scientifiques et échapper aux fake-news? " will be held at the Manègein Chambéry, starting at 8pm.

Science and the general public: how to access scientific knowledge and avoid fake news ?

Popularizing science means providing the keys to reading and understanding the world, as well as offering the tools to forge a critical mind and take an informed part in social debates. What approaches and tools are on offer today, from books to new media on the Internet, via the structures and players involved in scientific culture? What are the challenges of popularization? What role does it play in civic engagement?
