Plus d'égalité" Festival - Screening of "Call me by your name" with Univerciné

March 28, 2018 19:30 - March 28, 2018 9:30 PM

From March 8 to April 5, the "Plus d'égalité" (More Equality) Festival will take place on theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) campuses, and in partner venues. Taking the time to ask questions, accepting confrontation, imagining solutions, but above all thinking together and debating together around questions of equality, that's the aim of the different events of this festival. The USMB is offering conferences, round-table discussions and meetings with artists and specialists who will question our representations of relations between women and men.

Wednesday, March 28, Univerciné, the USMB cinema, will be adapting its programming to include the recently Oscar-winning film "Call me by your name", with its theme of equality. The screening will take place at 7.30pm in Amphi 11000, on the Chambéry/Jacob-Bellecombette campus.

This event is organized as part of Difference and Equality Week, a student initiative spearheaded by Olivier Taix, a student at the USMB Faculty of Law, and supervised by Florent Viaud and Frédéric Caille.

univerciné, the usmb cinema

The Univerciné association was set up in 1996 to promote art-house cinema and research. Since then, the Univerciné team has endeavored to fulfill this mission by offering the public in Chambéry films in a variety of genres (drama, comedy, cinema classics, fantasy, documentaries, etc.), exclusively in the original version with subtitles. In addition to its regular programming, Univerciné offers themed evenings, screenings and discussions in the presence of filmmakers and/or lecturers. Université Savoie Mont Blanc is the only university in France to have a cinema with commercial status, enabling it to show all films in national release.
