March 23, 2018 12:00 - March 23, 2018 2:00 PM

From March 8 to April 5, the "Plus d'égalité" (More Equality) Festival will take place on theUniversité Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) campuses, and in partner venues. Taking the time to ask questions, accepting confrontation, imagining solutions, but above all thinking together and debating together around questions of equality, that's the aim of the different events of this festival. The USMB offers conferences, round-table discussions and encounters with artists and specialists, who will question our representations of relations between women and men.

Friday 23rd March, meet Anne Nivat, famous war reporter, as part of the "Plus d'égalité" Festival. The meeting will take place from 12pm to 2pm on the premises of the IAE Savoie Mont Blanc, on the Annecy campus. The event is organized by the Club des Entreprises de l'USMB.

meeting with Anne Nivat

Anne Nivat is an international reporter and writer. She is an acknowledged specialist on Russia, where she lived for ten years (until 2006). Since the September 11th earthquake, Anne Nivat has been working independently in some of the world's most violent places. In Chechnya, Afghanistan and Pakistan, she continues to work in her own way: giving a voice to the voiceless and asserting the right to slowness and complexity, refusing to rush, stereotype or race for the scoop.

Anne Nivat has published numerous works, including "Chienne de guerre" (Fayard, 2000), for which she won the Albert-Londres Prize; "Algérienne", in collaboration with Louisette Ighilahriz (Fayard, 2001); "La Guerre qui n'aura pas eu lieu" (Fayard, 2004); "Lendemains de guerre" (Fayard, 2004); "Islamistes : comment ils nous voient" (Fayard, 2006); and "Par les monts et les plaines d'Asie centrale" (Fayard, 2006).
