There are a number of calls for international projects and applications, at different levels, to encourage or strengthen cooperation, support international initiatives, promote mobility, and so on.

Call for projects to develop cross-border collaborations between Swiss institutions(University of Geneva, University of Lausanne and Hautre Ecole Spécialisée de Suisse Occidentale (HES-SO)) and Frenchinstitutions (University of Grenoble Alpes, University of Lyon and Université Savoie Mont Blanc).

Its aim is to intensify scientific research and create a leverage effect encouraging institutions to participate in European funding programs.

Association of higher education and research establishments promoting cooperation in various forms; the quality of academics, research and governance; improving the employability and professional integration of graduates; the involvement of universities in the economic, social and cultural development of societies.

International call "AUF-COVID-19.2
General objective : to enhance the contribution of AUF member higher education and research institutions to the development of solutions with a technological and/or social impact to address the difficulties caused by the prolongation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Specific objective: develop innovative, frugal initiatives adapted to the ecosystem to support societies weakened by the consequences of a long-term health crisis.

The UFA supports bi- and tri-national Franco-German degree programs, PhD-Track programs, Franco-German doctoral colleges, thesis cotutelle, and the organization of Franco-German events for young researchers (PhD students and/or post-docs).

Prix Forcheurs 2022
Conditions :

  • One member of the pair employed by a French institution, the other by a German institution
  • Be part of a research laboratory in France or Germany, attached to a higher education establishment, a research organization, a company or a support structure (competitiveness cluster, cluster).
  • Under 45 years of age;
  • Currently collaborating on a joint research project;
  • Conduct research in the fields of chemistry, health and/or pharmacology.

Finland

Maupertuis program
Short researcher mobility: to enable selected researchers from France and Finland to meet their counterparts for a short period (from a few days to 2 weeks).
Education, Research and Innovation" workshops: to support concrete, specific workshops in Finland or France in all fields of research excellence, in order to strengthen existing collaborations between French and Finnish researchers. It is recommended to have targeted and concrete topics to organize a workshop that can last 2 or 3 days and involve several researchers. These workshops should cover the three pillars of the knowledge triangle: research, education and innovation.

Lebanon

Action Liban
Franco-Lebanese call to support urgent, rapid and structuring research projects, lasting up to 18 months, whose scientific relevance is linked to the Covid-19 pandemic and to recent multidimensional crises occurring at a critical period in Lebanon's history.

Netherlands

This program supports the mobility of French and Dutch researchers as part of a joint research project.

Descartes-Huygens Prize
This prize is awarded to a French scientist and a Dutch scientist for their contribution to Franco-Dutch cooperation.

Quebec

Permanent Commission for Franco-Quebec Cooperation (CPCFQ)
An instrument for coordinating exchanges between the Québec and French administrations, the CPCFQ is responsible for developing and implementing a biennial program of Franco-Québec cooperation activities, based on the target themes and priorities defined by the Québec and French governments. Its aim is to encourage the development of new projects.

For university cooperation between France and Quebec, and the implementation of programs aimed at establishing strategic partnerships in teaching and research.

CFQCU - Samuel-De Champlain Program
This program is intended for teacher-researchers in all disciplines and aims to :

  • develop strategic inter-university partnerships between France and Quebec
  • support emerging collaborations between high-potential teams in France and Quebec
  • support innovative projects that have a structuring effect and present interesting long-term prospects
  • encourage closer links with players outside the academic world (public, semi-public, private or associative sectors)
  • promote the integration of French and Québec universities into international research and education networks. academics

Russia

Vernadski" call for applications
French-Russian co-tutored doctorates
For the year 2022, the French Embassy in Russia is awarding doctoral scholarships for co-supervision of dissertations. This funding covers 4 calendar years (3 academic years) and alternates stays in France and Russia. All scientific disciplines are eligible.
This call is open from September 20 to December 17, 2021.
