As part of the " Les montagnes se rencontrent "organized by the Montanea association from November 21 to 25 at the Le Manège convention center in Chambéry, an exhibition presenting the research work of 2nd-year STAPS students from the USMB will be on show on Wednesday November 22, from 10am to 5pm.
About the exhibition :
Travel back in time through this exhibition of posters and videos, created by 2nd-year STAPS students from the USMB, and discover the sporting and teaching practices of yesteryear. As part of their research into the history of sport, they'll be on hand to present their work and take a step back in time, tracing the ways in which French men and women practiced sport in the last century.
Based both on archival documents and on the synthesis of recent scientific articles, the students' research work consists in presenting a sport practice of yesteryear, in the form of a poster or video. Analysis of the forms of practice, the profile of the participants, the equipment used, the places where they were practiced, and the teaching and training methods used, will provide a better understanding of how sports were practiced in the past.
